Nobel Prize winning economist Joseph E. Stiglitz takes on Friedrich Hayek's very influential 1944 book, The Road to Serfdom, in his new 2024 book. The Road To Freedom: Economics and the Good Society was researched, written, and edited by a team of experts to decry the negative effects of (free market / free trade) Neoliberalism in the modern day. He concludes that the real road to serfdom is paved by unfettered capitalism (even though the free market would never pave a real road).
